Live One on One Mentorship video calls

Sometimes to push you to the next step in your photography, you just need someone to help you and talk through your questions, and plans, and give you honest, unbiased feedback.  Who do I work with?  Perhaps you are a young photographer trying to build a portfolio to go to school or get a studio job, I can help.  Maybe you are a hobbyist who wants to take and make better photos, I can help.  Possibly you have a side hustle, and you want to start making money, I can help.  Maybe you have an established business, and you want to reach new markets or want to better your business practices, I can help.

Why should you come to me for help?  I have been a photographer for over 30 years, I was a press photographer as far back as the early 1990s, now I run a successful studio and have been mentoring and teaching photographers for the past 4 years.  I can help you with your gear purchases, shooting techniques, lighting, editing, making money with your photography, and developing your business.

In our hour mentorship call, your interests and needs will guide our path.  We will review your images and answer your questions.  Here are some of the topics that I have worked with people before:

Frequently Asked Questions

Who will my mentor call be with?

Me, Sean Murphy

How long will our mentor call be?

A call lasts at least 60 minutes.

How long will the introductory offer last?

I don’t have a clue but someday the hammer will drop, and the price will go up to $125.

Do you offer subscriptions or multi-session packs?

Yes, reach out and let us know what you are looking for and we can build a plan that is right for your needs.

What if my spouse/parent/kid/friend wants to join in the call?

That’s fine however the limitations of the Zoom plan are 40 minutes per call if there are more than two participants.  So, if you can be on the same connection, that’s great, if not, we would probably need to use Google Meet or a different system which may not allow for the recording of the call.

What video platform do the mentorship calls use?

Typically, we use Zoom but if you have a need or desire to use a different system, as long as it allows for screen sharing, we can give it a try.

Are the calls recorded?

Yes (as long as they are on Zoom).  Within a couple of days of the call, I will upload the video to YouTube as a private video that is shared only with you.

What do we do to prepare for the call?

I will send you a questionnaire ahead of time.  This will give you an opportunity set an outline of topics and questions you want to discuss.  Some of the questions may even give you new ideas about things that you want to delve into.  This also gives me a chance to gather materials that will help in our discussion ahead of time so we can be efficient with our time.  The other thing that I ask is that you send me 20-50 of your images to evaluate and discuss.
